So, a Christmas tree was bought, and one rescued from last year; Christmas cakes and puddings made; and multiple bird feeders had to be supplied with the onset of really frosty temperatures:
Sometimes, after everything that has gone on this year, it has felt difficult to manage the 'traditional Christmas' - but in fact it has been important to keep hold of the familiar, while dealing with all the uncertainties and the disappointments, like family not being able to make it over.
There have been new roses to plant out; birds to watch, gnashing the bird feeder nuts and seeds (that's the birds, not us); and with all their foliage gone one has time to admire the shapes and textures of the trees around the garden:
- and on Christmas Day, outside the house, the weather continued to be sunny and beautifully 'lit' .... so, that helped everyone's spirits:
As ever, Nature provides us with the bigger picture
and spiritual support.
We do hope that 2022 is a positive year for you and yours,
